Some weddings hold a special place in your heart, and Katie and Brandon’s celebration was one of them. As two of the kindest and most selfless people, Katie and Brandon brought warmth, love, and joy to every step of the planning process. But this wasn’t just a celebration for the two of them – it was a celebration of their new life together as a family of three with their adopted son, Baelin. From the start, it was clear that their Oak Meadow Event Center wedding would be something extraordinary.

The Vision

During our first consultation, Katie described her vision in just four words: timeless, classic, romantic, and pink. She and Brandon wanted an event that was beautiful yet with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. Together, we set out to design a wedding that balanced elegance with a sense of fun, capturing the essence of who they are as a couple.

The Venue

Our first step was booking a tour at Oak Meadow Event Center in Ohatchee, Alabama. With its modern farmhouse style, ample natural light, and spacious layout, Oak Meadow provided the perfect blank canvas for bringing Katie’s vision to life. The venue’s simple elegance allowed the floral displays, candles, and carefully curated details to shine, creating a space that felt intimate and unforgettable.

The Floral Design

Katie’s design was all about florals, so we worked with Tony at Cymbidium Studios to bring her dreams to life. We kept greenery minimal, allowing the flowers to take center stage in an elevated display. The ceremony’s focal point was an incredible mantel installation, blending silk and real flowers to add depth and texture. This arrangement perfectly framed Katie and Brandon as they exchanged vows.

For added versatility, we repurposed the ceremony’s ground florals as centerpieces during the reception. This thoughtful approach allowed Katie and Brandon to save on floral costs while enjoying these beautiful arrangements throughout the evening. Every corner of the reception was filled with the same romantic and timeless ambiance from the ceremony.

Candlelight Romance

To heighten the romantic atmosphere, we incorporated over 200 candles into the reception design. Four six-foot rectangular tables were entirely dedicated to candle centerpieces, casting a soft, inviting glow over the space. When the lights went down, the combination of candlelight and floral arrangements brought a warm, intimate feel that made the room come alive. The gentle flicker of candles accented the florals, creating a dreamy, unforgettable ambiance that Katie and Brandon – and their guests – will always remember.

A Perfect June Wedding

Once their Oak Meadow Event Center wedding day finally came, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect June wedding. The day was filled with love, laughter, and joy, with every detail working together to make it an extraordinary event. Katie and Brandon were over the moon, and seeing their happiness made every moment of planning worthwhile.
