Laura and Justice are two of my favorite people! Not only are they one of the first CM couples, but they are also two of my best friends! Additionally, Laura has worked most of my weddings with me as my assistant! Laura is kind, caring, hardworking and unbelievably smart and funny! When Laura and Justice became engaged, I knew right away that I wanted to throw her a bridal shower! Here are the details of her hot pink floral Alabama bridal shower:
These precious invitations were designed and put together by my sweet friend Frances at Ledgewood Stationery. Frances is an absolute class act and so much fun to work with! The invitations really set the stage and the expectations of what the guests had to look forward to! They turned out better than I could have imagined!
Laura and I live roughly 15 minutes away from each other, so I decided to host the shower at my own home in Cleveland, Alabama! It was the perfect spring weather, sunny and 75, with only a slight breeze! I really wanted to play up the spring time flowers and decided to go with the theme “Love is Blooming!” The color palette was hot pinks, peach, lilac, with pops of blue! Cymbidium Studios, one of our all time favorite florists, really brought our vision to life with these colorful floral arrangements in these Juliet Pink Compote! It was a gorgeous feminine touch that works so well against the Liv Sky Blue Linens from BBJ. We hosted 20 beautiful ladies outdoors on the patio, with a beautiful farmland sensory.
I LOVE using this display wall that my husband, Jacob, built for me for one of my bridal exhibits! We dressed the shelves up with colorful florals in pretty bud vases and gold framed pictures of the couple from their engagement session. It was a beautiful focal point for the afternoon and was a gorgeous back drop for photos.
My favorite part of the design was this precious bloom bar! The bloom bar was an absolute hit with all of Laura’s guests, as they were able to build their own bouquet that they could take home and enjoy! We used all of the same florals as the tablescape to keep the color scheme and the design cohesive. We used an old dresser as the display, using the drawers to add some dimension and a beautiful gold mirror for the instructions. I think it turned out so fun and there was not a stem left at the end of the day!
Of course, you can’t forget the mimosa bar for any bridal shower! We gave an option of juices, prosecco and champagne, and let the guests choose their garnishment! Strawberries are always my favorite in the sping time! And to top it all off, these adorable custom stirrers! The cake was a sweet treat with a beautiful design from Edgar’s Bakery! It was a perfect size for the guests and was a gorgeous accessory to an already gorgeous day! I am never a huge fan of bridal shower games, but these were fun for guests and ideas for Laura and Justice to use when they just can’t seem to figure out what to do! The guests were able to “Guess the Dress!” they were to design and color their own sheet and try and guess what Laura would be wearing on her big day! And actually, one of the guests guessed almost her exact dress! We also had blank cards and a jar for each guest to write in a fun date night idea! This could be anything! There were so many great ideas!
To top of the already sweet afternoon, Justice surprised Laura at the end of her shower with flowers and love! It allowed for us to celebrate Justice as well, and for him to help get all of the presents in the car. Planning intimate gatherings is one of my favorite things to do, because you can go all out with the details and design! For all of our full service clients, we offer additional event planning, along with their wedding day. This includes Rehearsal dinners, bridesmaids luncheons, bridal showers, welcome parties, farewell brunches, etc. I find that most brides are looking for that wedding weekend experience and Creating Moments is living for it!
Check out what Laura had to say about her experience with Creating Moments:
“Stefany made my wedding planning process go so smoothly. I would have been a mess without all of her help. She thought of all the tiny details that I had no idea about, and coordinated everything with all of my vendors. My day went so perfectly because of her, and I didn’t have to worry or think about anything besides enjoying myself and being the bride! She is so professional and you can tell that she really pours her heart into what she does!”
We’d love to help plan your celebration. Contact us today.
